So I’m trying to make some kind of sense of Pajam… er, I mean OSM, and all I keep seeing are these buzzwords, buzz phrases, and other self-important, elitist, middle-management type sentences. In fact, a quick 20 minute browse of the site was enough. I’m still cringing. You’ve all seen The Office, right. Well I think I can confirm that OSM is The Office of blogging. Seriously. Here are some of my… um, favourites

…blogomerate…

…punditize…

…the OSM blogjam, where the blogosphere meets the mainstream…

…the MSB (mainstream bloggers)…

…ordinary citizens sitting around the house opining in their pajamas…

…call it the blogosphere, call it citizen journalism, or call it (we hope) Open Source Media…

…it’s like a great, big blog-in slumber party…

…set out to leave the first vapour trail in the blue-sky scenario…

…there may be no ‘I’ in team, but there’s a ‘ME’ if you look hard enough…

…put the key of despair into the lock of apathy. Turn the knob of mediocrity slowly and open the gates of despondency - welcome to a day in the average office…

*Pullquotes all taken from either the main OSM site, or from the sites of their contributors. Well, apart from the last 3, which are actual David Brent quotes from The Office. Just so you can see where I’m coming from.

Oh, and I never did grasp the whole idea of OSM. Espeically the $3.5 million part. But maybe that’s just me trying to keep it real.

The good thing about OSM: like the Office, they provide plenty of light relief when between Excel and the watercooler.

Yep, from now on if I’m feeling a bit depressed, I know exactly where to go to cheer myself up.

    ;o)
