Amazing how many Teaching Agencies are recruiting round the world for teachers to come here to work in the UK.

Surf any education nets worldwide and there, somewhere, will be an ad hosted by a UK recruitment agency looking for teachers to swell UK numbers.

Two questions spring to mind here:

Do we in the UK need teachers from round the world?
Why?

The answer to the first question is unfortunately YES, the answer to the second is where you come in:

Why do we need to advertise round the world for teachers, why can’t we employ the ones we have already trained?
Or are we not training enough?
Are we losing too many teachers through “natural wastage” and not replacing them?
Do our teachers, especially our younger teachers, not want to teach anymore?
Do our young people in general not want to train to teach?

This is one topic on which you must have an opinion!
Come on, let’s hear it!
