UK National Health Service Bleeding Jobs
If you’re interested in seeing the meltdown of a national healthcare system, BBC News has a timeline of health service job cuts in the UK NHS. As of today, Prime Minister Tony Blair spoke out in favor of the restructuring along with Professor Nick Bosanquet, who said:
The result will be a smaller NHS workforce with higher professionalism, morale and job satisfaction.
As many as 100,000 jobs may vanish in the end. Somehow I don’t think retrenchment has ever served to raise morale.
