Check out this brief overview of working life in the city and surrounding region from Hobsons. It rightly states that “Newcastle is keen to be internationally recognised as a ‘European e-city’ with a world-class business park holding digital cluster SMEs, including a significant proportion of high growth graduate and R&D spin-out companies from the universities.”
But, more importantly, it looks like Newcastle’s new Great Park Development - which is earmarked for a cluster of high tech industry, offices, research and development - is set to bring 16,000 jobs to the city.
