Young farmers across Yorkshire and the North-East are being given the chance to win a trip to London and the seat of government as part of a special competition launched by the North-East NFU this month.

The competition has been designed to encourage young farmers to find out more about the NFU and its work - and hopefully encourage more young people to join the NFU. To enter, members of the Young Farmers Club need to answer 10 farming-related questions and then, in no more than 250 words, discuss two issues facing farming businesses in Yorkshire and the North-East.

For the over 18s, prizes include a chance to win a trip to the NFU’s London Office followed by a fascinating tour around the House of Commons with the head of parliamentary affairs, Barney Holbeche. Under 18s can win tickets to either the Great Yorkshire Show or Northumberland County Show.

The closing date is April 27 and entry forms can be downloaded from the NFU website.
